School Wide Programs

Training has been a pilot study at Bidwell Jr. High School in Chico, CA for the past three years, beginning in 07-08. It is directed by Resource Specialist Teacher Debra-Lou Hoffmann. The first two years of the pilot study only students in RSP were enrolled. Such students consistently score low on standardized test. The first year of the pilot study, 07-08, HIP students improved their STAR (Standardized Testing and Reporting) scores more than all other CUSD (Chico Unified School District) students in RSP, at the middle school level, combined! The second year of the pilot HIP students gained 30 points on their STAR scores. This past year the study was enlarged to include students other than those in RSP.
